The #rebranding of #Africa by #Vogue editor in chief @francasozzani should be commended. The designers and artists I have learned about has given me a greater appreciation for the research.

Look out for this crew of dope handcrafted geniuses. Those Brothers seem to have found a way into King Tuts chest of sunglasses. Handcrafted silver sunglasses!   Look closely and you may see the designer in the reflection.

The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, an institution embedded in American culture is here again! And, for the fourth year, Samsara Boutique will be joining the festivities, showcasing their original pieces. From May 3-6, Samara Boutique will be under the "Demo Tent" at the famed Congo Square.

At Samsara, we are artists first--we are always seeking to manifest our inspirations into wearable pieces of art. Samsara's reputation is built on well-constructed, one-of-a-kind pieces, that are created by using a variety of traditional textiles. At the Congo Square African Marketplace, during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, you, our customers, will have a chance to preview our newest pieces and some of your old favorites.

At the Congo Square African Market Place, you will be able to "Enjoy the exchange of wares, customs, and ideas that embodies a true marketplace experience as you encounter people and art from throughout the African Diaspora."

These sunglasses were inspired by the eclectic and addictive duo LMFAO. A Dose of fabric manipulation goes a long way.

If you are in the Atlanta area you can pick these up in the cool and trendy Five Points shopping district. They will be nestled in a Japanese Soda Bar themed shoppers delight called Fearless Weirdos.
